Know your current presence.

Even if you haven’t established a social media presence online, that doesn’t mean others haven’t been talking about your business. Knowing what your customers are saying is crucial for developing a strategy and starting with a clean slate. Be sure to check the top sites like Yelp, TripAdvisor, and even Facebook to see if there are any reviews you need to address. If there is already a conversation about your business on these platforms (good or bad) they may be the best place to start.

Don’t be a ghost.

Your social media platforms won’t do much to grow your business if you aren’t posting on them. If you have a hard time remembering to post, schedule them! The infographic below will give you an idea of the optimal time to post on the most popular platforms.Best-times-to-post-on-social-media

Social media is about more than just putting information out there. The goal is to build relationships that turn into customers. Be engaging. Get your followers involved and show you care about their feedback.
