Employee Spotlight: Sarah Resilavage

Congratulations to Sarah Resilavage, Senior Accounting Associate, on 10 years with Schiff’s Food Service!

1. What’s a typical workday like for you?

My day starts at 6:30 am, I enter our everyday expenses to be paid and print checks on Tuesdays. I maintain all the company credit cards, insurances, loans, licenses, vehicle registrations, and petty cash. I also file monthly sales tax returns for PA, NY, NJ, pay quarterly corporate taxes and reconcile the daily banking in various bank accounts.

 I gather information throughout the month for SFS Taylor, Korte Co. and SFS Easton, calculate and verify purchases, sales, ending inventory and operating expenses for them. I prepare monthly journal entries for all our locations, complete other closing procedures and assist in preparing financial statements. My time is mostly spent on maintaining and updating the corporate General Ledger.

2. What do you most enjoy about working at SFS?

I can honestly say “everything”! I look forward to coming to work and I love what I do.

3. What is your favorite hobby, activity, or creative outlet?

Gardening, canning, hunting, and in this past year- becoming a grandma!

Wyoming & Colorado

5. Do you have a favorite game day snack?

Chicken wing dip, of course!
