Schiff’s Food Service, Inc. Acquires Tommy Burke Provisions, Inc.’s Foodservice and Distribution Business

Taylor, PA– Schiff’s Food Service, Inc., a leading provider of foodservice solutions in the region, is pleased to announce the acquisition of the foodservice and distribution business of Tommy Burke Provisions, Inc. This strategic move will allow SFS to expand its customer base and reach a broader audience.

This acquisition will allow customers of Tommy Burke Provisions to gain from SFS the benefits of a broadline, full-service distributor. SFS will offer its USDA inspected in-house meat cutting facility, fresh poultry, seafood, produce, dairy, national brand frozen and non-perishable food items, chemicals, supplies and more. SFS owners, Mike and Ryan Yeager, said Tommy Burke customers can expect a smooth transition and consistency during this conversion. SFS will retain key members of the Tommy Burke team and increase staff as necessary to aid in the transition.

The acquired business will primarily operate out the SFS Easton office, formerly known as Korte & Co. This location will serve as a central hub to support the expanded distribution network and ensure seamless service for all customers.

SFS is an independently owned foodservice distributor headquartered in Taylor, Pennsylvania with a service area covering a 100-mile radius, including Northern New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and the Southern tier of New York state. In February of 2021, SFS acquired the distribution division of K. Heeps in Allentown, Pennsylvania. In August of 2022, SFS acquired Korte & Co., Inc. and added the Easton facility as well as its product offering to its broadline distribution.
